Litens Automotive Group inaugurated on Tuesday, October 24, the new factory in Romania, Litens Automotive Eastern Europe. Located in Timisoara Airport Industrial Park in Giarmata, Timis County, the factory covers an area of 7500 square meters and will have about 250 employees.
The launch event was attended by representatives of the Litens Group management: Paul Robinson - Chief Executive Officer; Tyson Bytzek - Chief Operating Officer; Bruno Fragoso - Vice President, Sales & Marketing; Peter Frey - Global Director, Plant Operations; Bradley Long - Global Director, Supply Chain Management and Ralf Sauer - Litens Germany Managing Director, together with the new employees of the Romanian factory, local authorities, representatives of the academic and economic environment.

The new production unit supports the demand for Litens solutions for the powertrain in the European market. At present, the company has 10 employees, and their number will increase to around 250 in 2019. In the production processes of the new plant, Litens uses automated and semi-automated equipment.

Ovidiu Ambruş says the factory will produce only after-market car parts in the first two years, until the necessary certifications will be obtained in order to be able to manufacture original parts for car manufacturers.
