US company Boeing and Romanian airline Tarom announced on Monday that they have reached an agreement on the acquisition of five 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The two parties have also entered into an operating lease for two 737-800 Next Generation (NG) ), reports Reuters.
The airline said the aircraft would be delivered around 2023.
The announcement was made at the Farnborough Aviation Fair, which takes place between July 16-22, 2018, in the UK.
At the beginning of June, two Boeing 737-800 NG (Next Generation) aircraft entered the Tarom fleet. Airplanes have a capacity of 160 seats and were acquired in operating leases.
