BSH Hausgeräte GmbH to invest about 110 million euros in Simeria, Romania

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, part of the Bosch Group, will invest approximately 110 million euros in Romania, and will open a washing machine factory, the company said. The company acquired a 40-hectare plot in Simeria, for the construction of the manufacturing hall, the logistics center, and the administrative building.
The contracting parties have agreed to keep confidential on the purchase price. Construction works will begin this year. The European leader in home appliances intends to start the production of washing machines in 2020.
After the construction of new production facilities, the factory will have an annual production capacity of over one million washing machines for the European market starting with 2022. The new location will be the fourth BSH washing plant in Europe, in addition to Germany, Spain and Poland.
