Antibiotice Iasi opens representative offices in Ukraine and Moldova

Antibiotice Iasi, one of the leading Romanian producers of generic drugs, will open representative offices in Ukraine and Republic of Moldova, decided the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.
The company opened a representative office in Vietnam last year.
Antibiotice Iasi (ATB) achieved sales revenues of 336.90 million lei last year, up 1.34% compared to 332.43 million lei in 2016. The company, which is a leader in the generic medicines market, hospitals, with a market share of 17.4%, invokes a 2017 year influenced by frequent legislative changes and measures that have had a strong impact on the entire industry.
The portfolio of the company counts 148 generic medicines.
In the first nine months of last year, the company recorded sales revenues of 234.2 million lei, up 4% compared to the estimated value in the revenue and expenditure budget and by 3% compared to the same period of 2016, when registered a value of 227.3 million lei.
Also, the net profit amounted to 20.24 million lei, up 37% compared to the budgeted amount and by 14% compared to the first nine months of 2016.
Antibiotice Iasi has a market value of 362.5 million lei.
The majority shareholder of the company is the Ministry of Health, with 53.01% of shares, while SIF Oltenia holds 14.25% of the capital.
