Unemployment declines in Romania this August to 5.1%, the lowest level in the last 10 years

Unemployment in Romania decreased by 0.1 percentage points in August 2017, on a monthly basis, to 5.1 percent.
"The number of unemployed (aged 15-74), estimated for August 2017, was 465,000, down from the previous month (478,000 persons) and the same month of the previous year (510,000 people).
By gender, male unemployment exceeded by 2.4 percentage points female unemployment, 6.1 percent to 3.7 percent, " the National Institute of Statistics (INS) informed Monday in a press statement.
Among adults (25-74 years), unemployment was estimated at 4.3 percent for August 2017 (5.3 percent for men and 2.9 percent for women).
The number of the unemployed aged 2 to 74 represented 77.8 percent of the total number of the unemployed estimated for August 2017.
